Abstract

The given article presents the results of creative motivation analyses in the context of modern Russian culture conducted on the example of the personalities engaged in various creative activities in Vladivostok city.

It has been highlighted that an actor of creative activity uses a special «tool» for influencing other people’s perception, dispositions, value orientations, feelings, thoughts as well as their behavior and worldview by means of promoting his own ideas about the world, traditions, customs and culture of the specific historical period through the created imaginary objects and images.

The conducted theoretical analyses demonstrated that a motivation of achievement, competitive motivation of social approval block up self-actualization of a creative person and complicate expression of the creative abilities. The motivation of prestige might foster efficiency of the activity but also might be a serious obstacle for creativity, new solutions of the problems.

Meanwhile, creativity is stimulated by the cognitive and intellectual occupations, as well as creative dispositions of a person. Regarding all this, research of the motivation component of creativity has a special significance and scientific relevance.
